Be enveloped in the sweet scent of about 500 varieties of roses
Spanning an area of approximately 2,300 square meters, the Ishida Rose Garden features a dazzling display of about 500 varieties of roses, with one plant of each variety as the basic principle.Originally the private garden of the late Hirohide Ishida, Odate City’s first honorary citizen, the roses were donated to the city by his family in 1995 and are now managed by the city.
Every June and October, the “Odate Rose Festival” is held, captivating visitors with its colorful roses and the elegant fragrance that fills the garden.
