Moriyoshi Dam and Lake Moriyoshi Shikibi

The Longest Rock-Fill Dam in Tohoku

The Moriyoshi-yama Dam, a rock-fill dam boasting the longest dam body in the Tohoku region (786 m)

The scenery at Lake Moriyoshi Shikibi, the reservoir of the Moriyoshi-yama Dam, is breathtaking.

The dam was constructed with great care to minimize damage to the natural environment, so even today, visitors can enjoy the rich natural beauty of Mt. Moriyoshi.

Dam tours are free.

At “Nemorida,” the observation café located inside the Moriyoshi-yama Dam Information Center, the “Moriyoshi-yama Dam Curry” is served on weekends, limited to 20 servings per day.

Be sure to enjoy this along with your visit to the dam.
