Hina Doll Exhibition at Torigata Hall

A Collaboration Between Historic Buildings and Hina Dolls

The “Torigata Kaikan,” an old mansion located in the Hanaoka district of Odate City, has a history spanning more than 250 years. In March, as the people of Michinoku eagerly await the arrival of spring, the grand hall of the Torigata Kaikan is adorned with lavish Hina doll displays that seem to bring a touch of warm spring a little early. Visitors can admire numerous hina doll displays and hanging hina dolls donated by local residents. The red and gold hues of the hina dolls stand out beautifully against the historic building, creating a space that evokes the pleasant feeling of spring.
