A major winter event featuring Hinai-ji chicken—a specialty of Hinai Town, Odate City—and making full use of local ingredients.

This festival incorporates the four elements of “See, Play, Shop, and Eat,” allowing visitors to join in the fun.

It’s packed with culinary highlights, including the Hina-tori Market’s famous “1,000-Bird Hina-dori Roast,” the “Hina-dori Kayaki Hot Pot” (which draws massive lines every year), and “Hina-dori Yakitori”!

In addition to food, there are unique chicken-themed events, such as the “Hinai Chicken Egg Catch” challenge—where teams of two compete—and the “Human Hinai Chicken Long-Crow Contest,” where participants compete to see who can imitate the “Cock-a-doodle-doo” crow of the Hinai chicken for the longest time.

There’s plenty more to enjoy, including performances of local traditional arts and the New Year’s mochi toss!

Parking lots around the venue may become crowded.

A shuttle bus connecting the Hinai Community Center and the venue (Odate City Hinai Branch Office) runs approximately every 15 minutes.

Please use the parking lots next to the Hinai Community Center and in front of the Hinai Gymnasium.
