Kayakusa Shichimen-zan (Shichimen-zan Shrine)

It's like being in a whole different world.

It is said to have been founded during the Kanbun era by Konoike Zen’emon of Osaka.

Known as the Seven-Faced Great Heavenly Maiden, it is revered by believers throughout the Tohoku region as a sacred site of the Nichiren Shu sect.

From Ani-Kayakusa in Kitaakita City on National Route 105, enter the mountainous area and follow the narrow, winding road through the cedar forest to reach Kayakusa Shichimen-yama.

As you cross the red bridge at the entrance, you’ll immediately be enveloped by a sacred atmosphere.

As you climb the stairs and follow the pilgrimage route, it feels as if you’ve stepped into another world.

Why not immerse yourself in this spiritual atmosphere, unlike anything you experience in daily life?
