Lake Towada is a mysterious lake that straddles Akita and Aomori Prefectures.
The “Towada Furusato Center” (Kosaka Town), located on the western shore of the lake, offers casual summer activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking.
With flexible plans tailored to each individual—from young children to seniors—anyone can enjoy these activities with ease.
No special equipment is required.
We highly recommend this for those who say, “I’m not sure about my stamina, but I’d like to relax on the lake,” or “I want to play in the water to my heart’s content with my kids!”
The staff will guide and support you based on the experience you’d like to try.

High school students and older: 5,000 yen
Middle school students and younger (ages 5 and up): 3,000 yen
■Kayaking Experience
High school students and older: 5,000 yen
Elementary and middle school students: 3,000 yen

Each session lasts about 90 minutes.
Morning sessions start at 10:30 a.m., and afternoon sessions start at 1:00 p.m.
*Please wear clothing that can get wet. We recommend wearing sandals (water shoes) or rubber boots (*Beach sandals are not allowed).
*This activity takes place in the great outdoors around Lake Towada. Please note that the event may be canceled due to inclement weather.
*As a general rule, reservations are required in advance for SUP and kayaking experiences. Please contact us by phone or via direct message on Instagram (@towadafurusato.c1).
