At the Ishida Rose Garden, where approximately 500 varieties of roses—with one plant per variety as the general rule—bloom magnificently across an area of about 2,300 square meters, the “Odate Rose Festival” is held every June and October, captivating visitors with its colorful roses and the elegant fragrance that fills the garden.

During “Odate Rose Festival Season 1,” held every June when the greatest number of roses are in full bloom, the “Ishida Rose Café” opens within the garden.In addition to delicious lunches and coffee, the menu features items and souvenirs that let you fully enjoy the rose season, such as the “Ishida Rose Soft Serve” inspired by roses, “Rose Cider for Lovers” containing heart-shaped petals, and “Ishida Rose Beer” with a delicate rose aroma.
In addition, rose seedlings are sold, as well as “Bara-no-Mochi” (rose mochi) from “Daifudo,” a long-established confectionery shop in Odate City run by rose enthusiasts. Every weekend evening, the “Night Garden” illumination event is also held.

“Odate Rose Festival Season 2,” where you can enjoy roses at their peak in the fall, is held every October. Fall roses are vibrantly colored with a subtle fragrance, offering a more sophisticated charm distinct from the roses of early summer.
