A farm where you can enjoy strawberry picking every year from May to June. You can enjoy an all-you-can-eat 30-minute session of “Harumi”—a strawberry variety native to Akita—until you’re full.

“Harumi” is a variety developed by Akita Prefectural University to grow deliciously in cold climates. It’s a delicious strawberry with a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. Since it’s rarely found on the market, it’s sometimes called the “phantom strawberry.” When you pop a freshly picked one into your mouth, its juicy, sweet-and-tart flavor spreads throughout your palate.

At Hinai Watanabe Farm, we cultivate dozens of varieties of vegetables, wild mountain vegetables, and flowers using carefully selected fertilizer aged in our own composting facility and pure groundwater drawn directly from the ground. During your strawberry picking visit, you may also be able to purchase freshly harvested vegetables, such as snap peas, as souvenirs (*subject to harvest conditions).Enjoy a casual strawberry picking experience on a vast farm surrounded by nature. It’s highly recommended not only for families with children but also for couples and group trips.
