Kiritampo Cooking Lessons

I will cook Seoul food "Kiritanpo" of Odate!
Local mother tells the making of authentic Kiritanpo carefully. The taste of the Kiritanpo which I cooked by oneself is special.

Kiritampo: step by step

①Mash

Freshly cooked rice is placed in a mortar and mashed until smooth.

②Skewer

Next, balls of mashed rice are kneaded onto Akita cedar skewers

③Roast

Lastly, the tampo is slowly roasted until golden and finished off with a sweet miso glaze.
