Opened in 1908 to support Kosaka’s booming mining industry, the Kosaka Railroad was decommissioned and then given a second life as the Kosaka Rail Park. From spring to early winter guests can try driving a real diesel train inside the park. During the winter months guests can clear the tracks with the snow plow engine!

Beginner Course
【Price】￥5,000 (100m track section)
【Available dates】Late April to early November. Friday, weekends, and holidays only. Time slots: 10:00 -11:30 and 13:00 – 15:00.

・Connect brake hose between engine and freight car.
・Two out-and-back drives.
・Disconnect brake hose.
【Available dates】July to mid-November. Offered Sundays only. Time slots: 10:00 -11:00, 13:00-15:00【Requirements】Must be 18+ and have a valid ID. Certificate of Completion for returners.
【Max. participants】2 ppl per time slot in AM, 4 ppl in PM
【Min. participants】1 person
